ROAD TRIP IN THE
FRENCH ALPS.
Looking for a perfect road trip that combines altitude, scenery and a good mix of technical roads? Then look no further than the French Alps.
This fully planned 7-day/6-night trip incorporates a large part of the Route Des Grande Alpes, a 600 mile collection of mountain passes that link up along the spine of the French Alps. Starting just outside Geneva and running the length of the Eastern French Alps to Monaco on the South coast. This historic route includes over 20 breathtaking mountain passes.
Encounter the famous Col De La Bonette standing at 2807m, the highest road in Europe. This formidable yet rewarding route with its narrowing roads and impressive climbing passages is a bucket list experience for the true driver who embraces a challenge.
Travel one of the most famous balcony roads in the country. Carved into the side of sheer cliffs, the Col de Turini is part of The Monte Carlo Rally route. Situated in the southeast, close to the Italian border, the Turini is undoubtedly one of the most exhilarating driving roads in Europe. The route to the summit features 34 tight hairpins to challenge the driver. With its jaw-dropping scenery and technical demands this engineering masterpiece truly deserves its place as one of the world’s greatest roads.
On your return journey stopover on the beautiful French south coast, with options to experience the famous Three Corniches each with their own unique driving challenges and breathtaking views of Monaco. Built by Napoleon The Grande Corniche is by far the most exhilerating. This rustic road, where the Mediterranean meets the sky, rises to 550m above sea level. Drive the legendary Alpe d'Huez with its wide roads and 21 hairpin turns.
For drivers wanting to expand their experience, optional additional routes and excursions are available including The Monaco Grand Prix circuit, and for those with a head for heights, the D22 balcony road.
The guide to your bespoke, expertly designed, route is delivered via sat nav system including full offline maps.

How much will my trip cost?
We offer a personlised road trip experince, this means the costs will vary depending on the time of year you go and the type of accommdation chosen. The guide price shown is based on a holiday for 2 persons sharing a room, driving a single car, staying in 3/4 star accomodation and travelling in early season (May/June).
Your trip may be different and this will affect the total cost of the holiday. To help you get an idea here is how we calculate the cost:
Our Fee:
For us to design and mange this trip our fee is £399 plus 10% per additonal car. For groups of more than 5 cars the fee's quoted per trip.
Eurotunnel costs:
This is a fixed cost per car and prices vary greatly depending on the time and day travelling.
Accomodation costs:
This is usually the largest cost of the trip. Most customers choose either 3/4 or 4/5 start hotels, but anything is possible - even AirBnb, camping or staying with a friend. It is really up to you.
Additional costs (not included in the advertised guide price):
If you opt to hire one of our preconfigured Sat Nav's there is a small additional charge and a deposit.
Toll roads, the costs depend on your routes but will be included in the budget plan.
